“Leave Your Presence With a Gravatar”
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
(What is a Gravatar you ask?)
Read on…
This post is dedicated to all those leaving comments
on posts (especially in here), forums and websites that
don’t have a picture beside their name.
If you are a victim to the headless question mark box or
if your pic is a blue or gray faceless head…I made this
just for you!
It is a must watch and learn!
Here goes…
What is a Globally Recognized Avatar?
Enter: Gravatar
When you visit other people’s blog sites and leave comments
there or participate in online forums, it’s a smart idea
to have a picture that represents You. This way, instead of a
box with a question mark or a figure of a man representing
you…YOU get to choose how you want to be represented.
This is most especially important is you’re trying to brand
yourself. If you want to represent a company or service, choose
the icon of that organization. If you want to personally brand
YOU, you guessed it…this is the time to pic the best picture of
yourself.
It takes seconds to sign up for a Gravatar, and again…just like my
last video post on the Google Wonder Wheel, you gotta love
it! Why? Because it’s free! And super easy!
If there aren’t any light bulbs turning on what I’m recommending
in this post, you’ll know after watching this video below.
So, what do you think? Simple, right?
A picture is really worth a thousand words! Go and turn some
heads and set up your Gravatar right now.
And don’t keep this all to yourself now…go and spread the love
with your friends. They’ll appreciate you for it!
Remember to leave me your thoughts below on what you
think of swiping a Gravatar. I would love to hear from you!

Jackie! As always, your tips and wisdom is SO PRACTICAL! That’s what I love about it, no lofty ideas, just raw real “do this” facts.

You know what they say: You learn something everyday (IF you pay close attention).
That’s the secret, right?
I am humbly flattered, Linda

Jaclyn,
It was a great idea to share this with the Leadership Branding group! I love seeing the little pictures. I’m sure people like to see their own pictures around too.
Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks Jaclyn, We all can identify with a face better than a stick figure or faceless shadow. And I don’t think anyone really cares what anyone looks like. They just want to see a REAL person.
I always look forward to your great advice! Keep it coming, Jaclyn! Best regards, Kevin

Jaclyn,
Great tip. There are so many people that stop by people’s sites and they show up as a greyed out shape. Thanks for sharing.
