How a Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) Will Help You to Succeed in Your Life
There is no doubt that for those who hold a positive mental attitude (PMA) it creates an environment of favorable opportunities. Having a positive mental attitude makes what is seemingly impossible for others (specifically those who are not positive, enter: negative people) present their life almost as if it were a painless and smooth ride.
The attitudes we give out to others on a daily basis determines what we get back from them as I'm sure you would agree. Depending on what how we choose to handle situations and how we perceive events will determine whether or not we will succeed in life (more or less).
So, it makes sense then that if we opt for poor and negative behavior as opposed to a owning a positive mental attitude, we're pretty much guaranteed to capture the same sort of crappy opinions and perspectives from the people and events around us. It's NOT rocket science.
Watch the video below to learn why owning a positive mental attitude will help you to succeed in your life.

Positive mental is critical to our overall health, as well as our success in everything we do. A negative mindset is the default, and will always take over unless we are actively working on replacing the negative with positive thoughts.
One thing I’m finding out is, the older we are, the tougher it can be to make the switch from negative to positive. But success is assured when we stick with, no matter what age we are when we start.
Thanks for sharing, Jaclyn!

What’s interesting Willena is you mentioning that the older we get the more tough it becomes to shift to a positive frame of mind. I have someone close to me that says the exact same thing.
This is what I tell her…
“Your belief has to do with a personal wall that you’ve been building over quite some time. You have the tools, now I encourage you to sharpen them and chip away at that mental wall. It will take some effort on your part but I promise that when you become consistent at chipping that wall down, the light will become more visible and life will be seen as more vibrant and colorful.”
Hope that helps you
And you’re so right, it doesn’t matter what age we are at in our lives…we have the potential to be successful. And it all starts with our mindset.
Let me know how that chipping is coming along okay?

I made an interesting discovery this week during my ongoing personal development journey. I will be posting about it later, but to give you a little preview… I discovered there are no walls where I thought there were still some! What has been exposed are two issues, intertwined… and now that I see them, acknowledge them and ACCEPT them as the real problem needing to be dealt with, I can take the necessary steps to deal with them.
Thanks for the great word picture, Jaclyn. You’re hit it right on for me!

Enjoyed your post Jaclyn, and yep I absolutely agree about the importance of having a positive mental attitude. It makes all the difference in the world. Some people focus on issues like the economy or “bad luck” but the thing is life is all about cycles – we all have ups and downs, the key is that with the right attitude you can turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones to success.

Hey Marquita,
Most people do tend to focus on the opposite of the positive. That has a lot oto do with the way they were brought up as well as the choices they surround themselves with on a daily basis (for the most part). For me personally, it’s unattractive and I don’t agree when others choose to play the blame game. The economy, him, her, they, the government, blah blah blah…
Instead the focus must be on learning how to grow themselves from within. This way, they won’t need to make themselves feed better about their sense of low self worth by pointing the fingers to everyone and everything else around them.
Doesn’t that make much more sense? -Jaclyn

You are such a wonderfully positive person with great energy and a great attitude, Jaclyn….that’s why I think we’ve been naturally attracted to each other. Glass half full gals for sure!
I couldn’t agree more about the importance of a positive mental attitude. To be honest, I have gone through some things in the past 2 years that would fully de-rail many people, but because of my positive mindset, my faith and my ability to learn and grow from even the most painful and trying circumstances, I have become even stronger, wiser and more capable in the face of adversity. That’s what growth is all about.
Thank you for being the great inspiration that you are!

Hi Jaclyn!
It’s only natural that we sometimes slide into negative thoughts that can enter our stream of consciousness, whether we are being challenged or meet blocks along the path of life. However, the more we practice positive response, the easier it is to quickly move from negative to positive and to embrace the opportunities that are being presented.
Awareness, acknowledgement and a conscious effort helps us to stay on track. I also made a choice a long time ago to surround myself only with positive and like minded people and those who do not suck my energy. That way, I can keep more of my energy directed to positive awareness on all levels of my being!

Developing a PMA has been a process of years for me since I grew up with the opposite of that.
Now I make point of playing the game of looking for positve aspects in people and circumstance, and I am finding more and more.
Wouldn’t it be nice if PMA was the most important subject in School.

Hi, Jaclyn,
I love PMA. I have been a practitioner for a long time, and it has absolutely affected my life and my friendships. I also believe it has positively effected my health. I avoid negativity like the plague, and I have benefited tremendously from having this outlook. The glass is definitely half-full.
I think PMA is related to authenticity and being a good listener so that you can be the best person you possibly can and so that you can help others do the same.
Thank you for your insight.

With all that is going on in the world and in our economy it’s certainly a challenge for some to maintain a PMA. But, anyone can train themselves to be positive and happy too. My mom is funny thinking that I stick my head in the sand not watching the news or listening to the doom and gloom. I told her that if anything important happens I always have her to fill me in. LOL!

Hello Jaclyn,
You are so right about the news. What is it they say about the CNN network? Continuios Negative News!
I watch the news to keep abreast of the weather and in the mornings for traffic, but it seems like the news anchors are robots, sitting at their post reading the latest, usually, negative news rants.
They read, so and so was shot and killed. A man/woman died last night in a car wreck. The US economy is going in the tank, and so on and on…
After a while I just can’t take it anymore and have to tune the station and the news out.
I know of so many people who have long commutes to and from their jobs. While driving, many tell me they lsiten to either the news or music.
I try to encourgae them to buy and listen to some kind of personal development or spirtually uplifting materials to feed their mind and spirits.
These same people, then get to work and have to be around others who do as they do, and all are filled with negativy. It’s almost impossible to avoid.
I thank God each and every day I get through, without running into some nut case that is mad at the world.
Oh and I almost forgot about the reality shows on TV.
It’s a wonder anyone can stay mentally afloat, what with everything coming at us on a daily basis, vying for our attention.
That is why I so value the Network Marketing and Internet Marketing industries.
You have the opportunity to connect with success oriented, like minded people to help you offset the negativity around us.
Having a PMA is vital to one’s health and well/wealth being.
Cheers

The internet is really a great way to meet new people, couldn’t agree more. It’s a great way to meet people who think the same as you and have the same goals and are not afraid to make mistakes in life.
I encourage those around me to absorb information that’ll help them develop who they really are. Of course, their response is typically something like “Driving is my time to relax so I listen to music.” Music is great don’t get me wrong. I love the energy music can give us. But it’s about self growth and empowerment that comes along with audios and teachings (books, etc.) that is the more important aspect of personal development. Even it’s listening to and from work, imagine how much of an impact and greatness one can add to their personal lives if they just soak up what Bryan Tracy, Jim Rohn, and Zig Ziglar has to teach us about life. Huge!

HI Jaclyn,
What a wonderful message you bring to the world. I hope that millions of people get to see it!
I have seen the results of a positive mental attitude many times in my life. Just recently I met a challenge, where I had to choose between maintaining my positive attitude, or listening to negativity and shifting to another path. I chose to stick with what I believed in and since then have received many rewards! I didn’t ask for or expect these.
If anyone reading this hasn’t practiced being positive about their life and future, they are missing out on many wonderful experiences! ONe more thing. I find that when I start feeling negative a walk and meditation in nature helps me get centered again. I focus on all the things I am grateful for, and the world is a better place – just like magic.

That’s because with every down part of life comes with an even greater side just waiting for us to seize it. That is really admirable to know that you were faced with a challenge and knew that rewards come simply and freely when we handle our attitudes with purpose instead of mindless thinking.
Focusing on the things that we are grateful for and that matter in our lives is definitely a way to shift our reasoning when it comes to making decisions.-Jaclyn

Great post, Jaclyn! I know that, in many ways, positivity is not very natural for me. That tends to be the the case with a lot of people from Appalachia because ours is a region that is more hard-scrabble and our history was written in large part as a story of people who came in from the outside and exploited our natural resources for their own personal gain. (For example: until the middle of the 20th century, a lot of coal companies refused to pay cash and simply gave credits to the company store, which blatantly overcharged, meaning people lived in debt, and the company built the houses, which meant that quitting a job meant losing your house.) This is why you will see a lot of fatalism in such areas.
However, one of the things that I have been learning lately is the fact that, no matter how bad things have been in the past, history is not predestination. Even if bad things have happened to us, that doesn’t mean that bad things will continue to happen. We can always break any cycle as long as we have the will and the desire to build the tools to help us do so.

Right on Steve! I like your attitude “…history is not predestination.”
And you are exactly right on target with that one. I know from personal experience that because I was not brought up in the most positive environment along with my life experiences (specifically, the bad ones) that life can be whatever path we choose it to be. So the good news in spite of all the negative things we’re surrounded by on the news, how the economy is going etc. is that it is truly HOW we perceive these events to effect us (mentally, financially, spiritually). WE can consciously choose to see opportunity in the difficult areas…or continue to take it as the average mind would – as everything is terrible, feeling sorry for ourselves, and ultimately recycle the process all over again and not ever be happy because we feel “there isn’t enough time or resources to handle situations.”
Instead, we can appreciate that difficulties and certain life events are a part of the process of life, learn from it and take the next step to get closer to what makes us happy.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Steve. It takes a lot for someone to admit that positivity is not a natural part of them. This shows us that you are on your way to developing a greater positive mindset. -Jaclyn

Positive thinking is life-changing. Negative thoughts affect emotions, and on to actions. We don’t always realize it, but our emotions are fueled by thoughts. That maeks our thought life extremely important.
More than simply thinking positive thoughts, however, if we take God into the equation there is even more reason to be positive. One can’t get more positive than to realize the Creator of the whole universe loves you!

Jaclyn, empowering video tutorial…
I agree, owning a positive attitude, and living fully with it. Surrounding yourself with positive activities, and others. Keeping it real and genuine.
Lot’s of people are so out of tune with understanding, that this is a major skill. Keeping good thoughts and only focus on the good in everyone. Looking and reading positive information and leaving the negative stuff, to those who choose not to understand.
Positive energy, will enhance your lifestyle. You will feel good and then knowing to take that, and keep an enjoyable approach to each situation. Just think before reacting to every situation.
Jaclyn, your a great motivational mentor. We can feel all the positive attitude, immersing from the video tutorial. You truly get your point across with power.
I love your energy, and presentation. No junk and no hype. All real and passionate about ownership. You have to live with the right attitude. Being real about this, will not take practice. This is away of living to the fullest.
Jaclyn, I look forward in your next wonderful post. I really got something powerful from your site. You have inspired me to accomplish amazing support for others. Love the idea of writing and mixing the video tutorial. This has a feeling of balance and displays power. Great organization, with the whole picture being presented.
I really appreciate, all that your doing, with really making a difference. Making real usable content, without all the sales pitches, and hype on some product. More people are interjecting this method. It lacks character to me. I feel uneven, and would likely not visit again. They have in their post, that 90% sales, and no supporting information to empower others. To help the masses gain a clear insight, into our industry. You stand out and have branded your name globally.
Thank you again for sharing. Please, continue as I will be watching your amazing growth.

With all that is going on around us in the world, it is so critical to do everything possible to have a PMA.
You are what you think about most of the time, so fill your mind with positive thoughts. Leverage the power of positive thinking to achieve your goals, and be the best you can be.
I also limit my exposure to the c_ _ p on television and negative people in my life.
It is so important to be a continuous learner and practice your self development on a DAILY basis in order to refine the skills and techniques you need to remain strong and focused when many others will let adversity and negativity bring them down.

a successful life is more about positive attitude than any other single element in my opinion. I see companies asking for a happy person in job adverts, that is incredible that they have to ask for this, leads me to think that many people go about their day miserable. Get into a community and your life will be happier when you have others to share it with. i speak from experience having moved countries a few times and it is sometimes difficult to connect when you first move. But being positive is critical to getting integrated. I teach people to reduce stress and change their outlook with biofeedback. it is amazing how quick change can happen when someone is willing.
